Women's Ministry

In 2008, SEND created a women's ministry team that functioned out of the International Office. Since that time, the women's ministry arm has grown into a department that includes a Women's Ministry Team (WMT) set up of regionally based women. These women oversee Area Women's Representatives from each SEND area to ensure women have access to all the tools and resources they need to thrive in their individual contexts. The department also includes a development coordinator as well as experienced trainers who can bring training to SEND members around the world.

Vision Statement

The women's ministry of SEND exists to encourage the personal and professional development of all SEND women, so that they may be equipped for transformational life and ministry. For more information on WMT and the women serving as Area Women's Representatives, click here.

Training Opportunities

SEND's Women's Ministry Team encourages SEND ladies to take advantage of training offered through the Women's Development Track. Ladies can take part in the following one week modules offered by trained facilitators:

  • Significant Woman: Discovering Personal Design and Mission
  • Group Discipleship: Guiding Relational Learning
  • Mentoring Next Generation Women: Re-igniting Intergenerational Relationships.
  • Developing a Discerning Heart: Deeper Walk with God and Peer Helping
  • A Global Vision for Women: Engaging Crucial Issues
  • Soul Care in the 21st Century

**Recommended Resources**

The Women's Ministry Team recognizes the importance of providing resources for your ministry and personal use. You can see our growing Recommended Resources page covering topics from spiritual growth to child rearing to healthy financial habits. Take a look at the recommendations from other SEND ladies for some of the latest books, podcasts, blogs and living cross-cultural websites. If you have a resource you would like to see added to this page, please send it to Marcie Williamson and she will get the document updated with your suggestion.
